1. About Us
MyOddJobs.ie connects customers with trusted, independent cleaners and service providers. We coordinate the booking, payment process, and after-service support to ensure a smooth and reliable experience.
All cleaners operate as independent contractors, not employees of MyOddJobs.ie.
2. Booking & Payment

Bookings are made directly with MyOddJobs.ie through our website, WhatsApp, or email.

Once a quote is accepted, a deposit is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining balance is payable after the job is completed and the client confirms satisfaction.

All quotes, invoices, and payment links are sent securely to the contact details provided at booking.
-
MyOddJobs.ie does not collect or store card or bank details directly.
Failure to pay any outstanding balance within the agreed timeframe may result in late fees or refusal of future service.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Deposits confirm the booking and are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service may be rescheduled once without losing the deposit.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service will result in loss of the deposit.

If MyOddJobs.ie must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer either:

a rescheduled appointment at no cost, or
-
a full refund of any deposit paid.

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via hello@myoddjobs.ie.
4. Satisfaction Guarantee
Clients have 24 hours after job completion to raise any concerns or report issues.
If notified within that period, we will coordinate with the cleaner to resolve the issue promptly.
If no concerns are raised within 24 hours, the service is deemed satisfactory and closed.
5. Service Providers (Cleaners)

All cleaners engaged by MyOddJobs.ie are independent contractors responsible for their own insurance, tax, and compliance with Irish work eligibility requirements.

We conduct reasonable checks to verify their reliability and right to work in Ireland.

Cleaners are expected to maintain professionalism, punctuality, and respect for clients’ property.
-
MyOddJobs.ie facilitates payment between the client and cleaner but is not legally liable for the individual performance or conduct of cleaners beyond the cost of the service provided.
6. Client Responsibilities
By confirming a booking, the client agrees to:

Provide accurate details (name, contact, address, parking/access instructions).
-
Ensure safe and suitable working conditions (running water, lighting, no hazards).
-
Treat cleaners and staff with respect and courtesy.
-
Report any damage or dissatisfaction within 24 hours of job completion.
Failure to comply may limit our ability to resolve complaints or provide future services.
7. Liability

MyOddJobs.ie operates as a coordination platform and does not directly perform cleaning services.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, emotional distress, or property damage exceeding the value of the booking.

Any claim arising from a service is limited to the total amount paid for that booking.

We will, however, mediate in good faith between clients and cleaners to ensure fair outcomes.
8. Pricing & Service Changes
We reserve the right to adjust prices, services, and terms at any time. Updated terms will appear on our website and apply to all future bookings.
9. Termination or Refusal of Service
We may cancel or refuse service where:

Unsafe or unsanitary conditions exist;

Abusive or inappropriate behaviour occurs;
-
False or misleading information is provided;
-
Payment obligations are not met.
10. Privacy
All personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is collected and used.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Cancellations & Refunds Policy

At MyOddJobs.ie, we understand that plans can change. This policy explains how deposits, cancellations, and refunds work so everything stays transparent and fair for both clients and cleaners.
1. Deposits

A deposit is required to confirm every booking.

Once the date and time are confirmed, deposits are non-refundable.

The deposit secures your cleaner’s availability and covers scheduling and administration costs.
2. Cancellations by Clients

More than 24 hours’ notice:
-
You may reschedule once at no extra cost.
-
The deposit will be carried forward to your new date.

Less than 24 hours’ notice:
-
The deposit will be forfeited, as short-notice cancellations prevent cleaners from taking other work.

No-shows (when the cleaner arrives but cannot access the property or the client is unavailable) are treated as last-minute cancellations and result in loss of the deposit.
3. Cancellations by MyOddJobs.ie
In rare cases where we must cancel (for example, cleaner illness or emergencies), you will be offered:

a rescheduled appointment at no extra cost, or
-
a full refund of any deposit paid.
We will always notify you as soon as possible and aim to reschedule promptly.
4. Refunds After Service

Once a service has been completed, clients have 24 hours to raise any concerns.
-
If an issue is reported within that window, we will review it and, where appropriate, arrange a return visit to fix the problem.

If no concerns are raised within 24 hours, the booking is considered satisfactory and closed, and no refunds will be issued.
Refunds are processed back to the same account or payment method used for the original payment.
5. Service Satisfaction & Disputes
Our goal is for every customer to be happy with the result. If something isn’t right, please contact us within 24 hours at hello@myoddjobs.ie with:

your booking details,

a brief description of the issue, and

any relevant photos or notes.
We’ll review the case quickly and work toward a fair resolution.
6. Exceptional Circumstances
Full or partial refunds may be offered at our discretion if:

we fail to deliver the booked service through no fault of the client, or

the issue cannot be reasonably resolved through a follow-up clean.
